Re: How to measure the room in a digital xo active system?

Not having the community available diminishes significantly Acourate ease of use. Horacio, your intended measurement setup is quite unusual. As you combine Acourate, REW, Roon. It is also not clear if ADC (for mic) and DAC (for sweep playback) use the same clock which may introduce time stretching ...

Re: Crossover types and resulting speaker directivity

I do not have investigated in crossover type and resulting speaker directiity up to now. But it also seems that there is no paer out there. Horbach and Keele have written a lot about this in combination with their proposed crossover type. So it may be worth to check their papers again. The idea here...

Re: How to measure the room in a digital xo active system?

Ok, so you know already how to use Acourate filters including XOs in Roon. By playing a sweep wav track and recording it by REW you can of course now record the pulse responses including correction. Now if you like to measure the same way but with XO filters only you simply have to create the XO fil...

Indeed I do not fully understand the setup of Horacio.
Horacio, can you describe the intended signal chain?

Re: Calculating FDW window width in Room Macro4 with different cycle values

Great guidance, thank you very much Uli. Is the SplitNJoin approach achieving the same outcome as the Amplitude Max Envelope, i.e. limiting the boosts while correcting properly the peaks? Valentin, no, SplitNJoin is a different approach. SplitNJoin splits two given frequency responses at a definabl...

Re: DigitalXO Strange Delay

Bass:should be pointed on sample 3000 but it is on 2987 Christian, according to the numbers the bass is 13 samples too early. 13 samples @ 48 kHz samplerate correspond to a sound travel path of 9.2 cm. The picture shows the compression driver about 10 cm behind the bass driver. Thus the result is r...

Re: How to measure the room in a digital xo active system?

I will use REW for this, and can play back a sweep through Roon and measure the response at a different computer. Horacio, my answers are based on your first post. In my understanding you create a sweep by REW and then you play the sweep by Roon. Thus you need filters in Roon. As you like to measure...

Re: DigitalXO Strange Delay

If the bass polarity is inverted the bass is 143 samples too late.
