Re: Multi channel AVR and it's digital volume control with Acourate

I do not see a problem with using the AVR digital volume control in direct mode. Thanks Uli. I guess I can always verify that the AVR is not doing anything funky by measuring with REW with AVR at the same digital volume that Acourate measurement was performed. And then re-measuring with 10dB lower ...

Multi channel AVR and it's digital volume control with Acourate

Hi Uli For a 2nd system, I want to use an old Denon AVR that I have which features 5 channel external input (as well as matching speaker outputs of course), so I can use with this a Focusrite 4i4 (4 channel USB DAC). My question is about using the AVR's digital volume control (with the remote contro...

Re: AcourateConvolver with MOTU 8-channel DAC

By Acourate you can measure and correct a subwoofer and of course also multiple subs. By AcourateConvolver you can send both left and right signal (of course filtered by XO and correction filter) to e.g. a single sub placed in the center. So the AC allows you also to add signals. Thanks Uli. Is the...

Re: AcourateConvolver with MOTU 8-channel DAC

Hi Uli I know Acourate can do DSP crossover for 2 subwoofers, for example. But is this limited to treating the 2 subs as extensions of left and right channel speakers? I only use the word 'limited' because: what if I want to have sub #1 in front + center of the room and sub #2 in back + center of ro...

yes :)
Acourate has a function to calculate 8k filters for TV
Thanks! I will also consider the Focusrite 18i20, which has 10 channel analogue output (as well as TOSlink input).

Should be more flexible for future use. I can't imagine I'll ever need more than 10 channels.

AcourateConvolver with MOTU 8-channel DAC

Hi Uli Could I use the optical input of this MOTU UltraLite Mk4 USB interface (see attached pic), with AcourateConvolver, for example for TV sound input? For low latency (lip sync problems) I could use lower taps correction filter together with AcourateConvolver? So the path would be TV TOSlink outp...

Simply run the logsweep recorder but select first mono in the channel selection combo. That's it.
Thanks again !

Re: Mic alignment feature of Acourate

In macro4 you can enter an extra delay for a channel. Thus the correction filter will contain the desired delay. Ah yes - thank you. And to get the 2 peaks for calculating the time delay between left and right channel, you mentioned "measure two speakers with a mono sweep". Can this be done in Acou...

Re: Tutorials in Adobe Flash

Can you please consider converting the Adobe Flash videos on your website into something like .mp4? Here you go: Basic operation of Acourate Pulse Response Recording by the Logsweep Recorder Design of Room Correction Filters I guess I need to update the tutorials to be consistent with the actual GU...

Re: Mic alignment feature of Acourate

Or is fixing group delay something different to fixing absolute sound arrival time of speakers at different distances? The arrival time of speakers can be different because of a different sound travel time. This can be of course also measured. So you can e.g. measure two speakers with a mono sweep....
