Addition

Description:
Adds selected curves sample by sample into a new curve

Options:
-

Application:
It is e.g. possible to add the pulse responses of digital crossovers and to view the frequency response of the crossover sum

Example:

The crossover of a 3-way system is designed by using Neville-Thiele crossovers. The addition of the three XOs results in a perfect linear behaviour of the frequency response. (For a better visualization the sum is raised by 2 dB, see TD Functions > Gain. Otherwise the curves will overlap)

The 3-way crossover is designed as Linkwitz XO for bass and midrange driver, the tweeter XO is defined by a Neville-Thiele XO. The sum of the 3 XOs shows a dip and a peak in the frequency response. To allow these crossovers to add perfectly the sum can be used for a Linearisation of digital crossovers. (For a better visualization the sum is raised by 2 dB, see TD Functions > Gain. Otherwise the curves will overlap)
