Convolution (Faltung)
Convolution stellt eine mathematische Operation dar, die aus zwei Signalen ein drittes Signal generiert. Im Audio-Bereich wird dabei ein Input (Impuls) mit einem Filter oder der Impulsantwortfunktion kombiniert, woraus der Output ersteht.
Die Convolution ist eine invertierbare Funktion, d.h. bspw. lässt sich aus dem Output und der Impulsantwort vollständig der Input rekonstruieren.
