Sub-sample Shift

Description:

Shifts all samples in time by a percentage of the period between two samples at the sample rate of the pulse.

All values are recalculated by interpolation.

Options:

-99 to + 99% of the period: positive or negative shift on the X-time axis

Use:

The PeakOpt operation can be carried out manually using Sub-Sample Shift. The peak can also be moved on purpose. Can be used useful for subtraction in situations where shifting only one sample at the sample rate is too coarse an adjustment for phase shifts in the treble. The interpolation makes it possible to work even more precisely, even near the high frequency limit of the pulse.

Use caution near the high frequency limit, as the brickwall filter effect may cause changes.

Example:

A subtraction filter (e.g. crossover) is to be generated in the treble with a sample rate of 48kHz by means of a phase shift. 1 sample generates a 180 ° phase shift at 24kHz. At 2.4 kHz, this means a roughly 18 ° grid. With 50% SubSample Shift, a 9 ° offset can now be achieved.
